Everything is nicer in Nice!

the following series of photos is here for the sole purpose of making you jealous ... please let me know if it's working!

there were tons of sailboats out ... and nary a one invited us to come sailing with them!

beautiful park with old ruins at the top of the cliff

pretty much perfect.

la scottie!

vieux nice ... looks an awful lot like vieux lyon.

we only stay at the swankiest of hotels when we travel.

(read: no soap and only the very smallest cockroaches)

look it's us!

just a little day trip to Monaco

the family business?

there were oranges! on the sides of the streets!
wow.
that's where the princely palace is.

cute chicks in the exotic garden.

THAT casino

Spring Break in Paris

cute family in Frenchie clothes.
amazing thai food followed.

in THE buddha bar!

look what we found...

pensive.

stained glass in the Saint Chapelle
they have music here just about every night... we heard a string quartet + two brass instruments play pieces by Vivaldi and Mozart, and it was pretty amazing. the last notes of each piece made the whole chapel sing.
jesus, just hanging out.

how perfect! a sunset on the seine.

picture this: a very large room. lots of pink light. on either side, there are long pieces of white fabric wafting gently in a mysterious breeze. flashing lights ling the center of the floor. soft music is playing. there is a big pink shoe.
but is it art?

from the cathedral in tours
chenonceau
the big, beautiful kitchen ... which included a fireplace the size of a bed and a kettle that you could take a bath in.
ducks!
what a nice lane.
floating faces in the park at the chateaux where DaVinci once lived. (He was tight with the King of France back in the day and so he lived at Clos de Luce - a laden swallow's flight from the King's own chateau.)
Amboise, the King's chateau
the chapel at Amboise where DaVinci is buried
a cat at Pere Lachaise, a great place to go for celebrity sightings.
it's just that the celebrities are dead.
oscar wilde's grave.
yes, those are lip prints.
chopin ... and the asians.
denon... don't know what he did, exactly, but they named a wing in the louvre after him.
plus, here he kind of looks like robin williams.
great junk at the flea market!!
beautiful light on an old building by place de la Concorde

and the point is, to live everything...
